The Office (NBC) back for season 3

office.jpgOne of my favourite television shows has been scheduled for a 3rd season by NBC. I haven’t come across any definate comfirmed date for the premiere of episode one (season 3) but speculation points to September 28th, 2006. This date is purely speculation dont get me wrong, but I was informed of the date from an NBC message board (lol thats the best i can do).

At the end of season 2, we were all left with a huge cliffhanger. Jim confessed his undying love for Pam face to face, they kissed which points to a significant decision that Pam will be faced with in the early episodes of season 3. Should she let Jim down gently and continue with her wedding preparations with Roy (fiance’) or break the engadement and persue a relationship with her long time friend Jim?

Jim first confided in Michael (the office boss) on the booze cruise (season 2 - 11) about his feelings for Pam and trusted that Michael would keep his secret. It wasn’t long before the word was out and everybody in the office knew of Jim’s affection for Pam. The only person not to find out was Pam herself, which stirred up mixed emotions and feelings of anger in the final episode of season 2.

Here are some quotes that made season’s 1 and 2 so great:

1. “I am Michael, and I am part English, Irish, German, and Scottish, sort of a virtual United Nations”(Michael Scott).”

2. In the wild, there is no health care. In the wild, health care is, “Ow, I hurt my leg. I can’t run. A lion eats me and I’m dead.” Well, I’m not dead. I’m the lion, you’re dead” (Dwight Shrute).

3. “Oh, do you want me to repeat the messages that I gave you before?” (Pam Beasely).

4. “Okay, first, let’s go over some parameters. How many people can I fire?” (Dwight Shrute).

5.
Dwight Schrute: Through concentration, I can raise and lower my cholesterol at will.
Pam Beesley: Why would you wanna raise your cholesterol?
Dwight Schrute: So I can lower it.

6. “I think if I was allergic to dairy I’d kill myself” (Michael Scott).

7.
Michael Scott: [trying to motivate an employee for the basketball game] You’ll be like the dwarf that follows the wizard to the end of the earth in… uh… Lord of the Rings!
Dwight Schrute: Gimli.
Michael Scott: …NERD. THAT’s why you’re not on the team.

So loyal Office fans, yes there will be a third season due to air late september (US) so brace yourselves…as Michael once put it “Its simply beyond words, it’s incalculable!”.

I can’t wait to see what happens in Season 3. Personally I don’t think Jim and Pam will just dive into it. I think it’s going to be a little more up and down than that…

I watched the show pretty casually but seeing that last episode of season 2 was quite different. I really how ‘real’ the show seems, such as the tension that gets played out by Jim and Pam (more like Jim). Great show, its a lot more ‘warm’ than the UK version.

    “BEST SHOW SINCE SEINFELD”

Sienfeld sucked, I’m proud to say I’ve never seen an entire episode.

I happen to see the banner in itunes and started watching the show a few weeks ago. Since then me and my coworkers have been hooked and watch it in our free time. It’s so awesome and we can relate so much to what happens on the show. Can’t wait for the 3rd season

I love this show and I hope it never leaves the air! It is by far the best show on TV. If you have not seen it yet watch at least 2 or 3 episodes before judging, you have to connect with the characters. Dwight and Jim make the show by far I have never laughed so hard until I watched the conflict resolution episode were they name all the thing Jim has donw to Dwight! I have all of season 2 on my tivo and talk about a great pick me up in the morning. September cant come any sooner!

I have every season on my iPod and it is the best show ever. I have a feeling there will be a big fight between Jim and Roy. Pam will end up quitting and not marrying either of them. And this will be the last season.

I was getting worried that the US version of the Office hadn’t kicked off too well, but great, they are back for a third Season. Michael is no Brent, he is just not cringeworthy enough and actually seems to know when to stop, I wish he wasn’t so watered down, although he does have moments, like Booze Cruise!

I don’t know why, but I have a feeling that Roy will get caught cheeting on Pam. This could open something up for Jim. Hopefully.

I think that since Pam got offered that job in some sort of art shyt by Corporate, and Jim has moved that they will be rejoined together cuz Pam will take the job offereing from corporate to do that art thigny or drawign or w.e the hell….

Small problem…your 7th quote is taken out of context. Michael says to his employees that they would “follow him to the end of the earth, grumbling all the way. Like that dwarf from Lord of the Rings.”

Hey, I absolutely LOVE the Office, and I cannot wait for the third season! Of course, I got started on it a little late, but I have to wait for September for it to come out on DVD, and I am too excited to wait! I love the conflict between Jim and Pam (does that sound crazy…I don’t love conflict, it’s just, I love this one), it’s so sweet, and it’s pretty obvious that they get 2gether, at least, it seems obvious. CAN’T WAIT!
