Superman Returns June 27th

supermanreturns.jpg

Oh Superman, what have we done without you since your last feature film? Well…we've caught you as a younger man on Smallville which has been great, and watching old episodes of Lois & Clark: The new adventures of Superman (Dean Cain, Terri Hatcher) amongst other things.

But now your coming back, and personally I just cannot wait. Any huge superman fans out there will probably have come across KAL-EL.ORG before but for those who have never seen it, it is a superman dedicated blog with TONS of the latest news on the upcoming film Superman Returns.

The film (directed by Bryan Singer), the master behind the first two X-Men movies and executive producer of popular television series HOUSE, M.D has taken up the rains to bring us the newest incarnation of superman to the big screen once again.

Relative unknown actor Brandon Routh takes on the mamoth challenge of playing Clark Kent (Superman) and so many superman fans will be eagerly awaiting to see him in action to see what life he gives our beloved man of steel.

The beautiful and tremendously talented Kate Bosworth (Win a date with Tad Hamilton, Blue Crush) plays Lois Lane, Clark Kent's love interest for the unininitiated. Kate's persona is quite different to the stereotypical view of who Lois Lane is, but she still brings a lot to the table. Smart and sophisticated looks are what Ms Lane is known for, and Kate Bosworth im sure will definately provide Lois in this next installment each of these qualities, and much more.

I am so looking forward to this movie. We only have a few days to go now and the wait will be over. It shall be awesome!

AFL star collapses LIVE on TV interview

St.Kilda ruckman Justin Koschitzke collapsed and fell to the ground whilst slightly knocking his head on the way down while appearing on Channel 7's Sportsworld for an interview early this morning.

While playing a match against the Western Bulldogs in round 6, Justin (St.Kilda) collided with Daniel Giansiracusa (western Bulldogs) knocking him unconscious. He was set for a return back to in the next 2 weeks or so, but after today's shocking collapse on national LIVE television, Koschitzke's future this season doesn't look promising.

It has been reported however though that since the incident this morning, Justin has appeared to be in good spirits suffering only a slight bump on the head and minor memory loss. His outcome does look promising, but he won't be avaliable to play well after this initial 2 week period.

Animation VS Animator

flashfight.jpg

I came across this really awsome flash animation of a stick figure battling it out with its creator…of course a flash animator. They wage war across the Flash 8 environment using various tools avaliable to flash animators in the toolbars and whatever. If you yourself are a flash nut or just up for a laugh, definately check this 1 out.

Socceroo fans get free ride home

World Cup Logo

The Australian soccer team qualified for the FIFA world cup a few months ago now, and since then the whole country has contracted 'soccer fever'. Australia has not attended a world cup meet since 1971 (i think) and now that we have won our first game again Japan (3-1), all eyes are now on our world cup team for perhaps the biggest match up Australia will face in their time in Germany - Brazil.

Socceroo fans packed Melbourne's Federation Square to watch the match again Japan a few nights ago and the number of eager fans to pack the square again this monday night is estimated to reach ~6,000+. The Victorian government has taken action on the lack of public transport to and from Fed. Square for the big matchup and have recently announced plans for city wide nightrider busses to shuttle fans to and from the big screen for the LIVE matchup against Brazil starting at 2am and ending around 4am.

Extra taxi's will service the Melbourne CBD and surrounding suburbs all night. This will definately be one of Melbourne's busiest times at such a crazy hour of the morning for an event Australian soccer fans could never have dreamed of this time last year.

New Design…Again!

Hi there guys. Yes as you may have noticed, I have changed the layout of the site once again. I was fairly happy with the previous (green simple) design, but it felt a little too 'slim' and wasn't the best design to display all the content I have here on my blog.

So i've decided to go with a layout I used once before on my blog (about 5 months ago) with a few variations which (i hope) improve the usability of the site drastically.  I have:

  • Moved main sidebar to the left of the site and changed content shown.
  • Removed Audio streams list as can be found in AUDIO page anyway.
  • Totally new blog header image gives a new 'feel' to the site.

I know it seems like I change the design every week, but if you know me you know I like change and I only make such drastic chances when i need to or feel it is required to do so. I'm sure this new design will be around for a while to come (i quite like it) and I hope you like it too.

Exams Exams Exams = Busy Busy Busy

Oh how exams do suck. I just finished my first exam yesterday (Operating Systems) and I think I did pretty well, but I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Becuase of my exams at the moment, I have been unusually busy which isn't good becuase my weekly (i try) audio posts have kinda taken a back seat this past week.

Episode 8 will be here in good time. My final exam is monday 19th June and after then I won't have a thing I have to do for school as the semester will be over. YAY!

Things are happening with Ep#8 I can guarrantee that, just 1 more week and I'll be through with exams. I knew getting a new audio post out each week was going to be interesting and I did it for 6 (pittyful) weeks but the next one will be out shortly.

Thanks for sticking in there with me guys, busy times I'm faced with at the moment, but hey, who isn't busy these days right?

Stay Tuned!

Images of the Sun taken by the Transition Region and Coronal Explorer

As of May, 1999 TRACE has taken over 1.5 million images of various solar features in coordination with SOHO and other solar observatories around the world. Detector degradation has been unexpectedly light providing scientists with the hope of several more years of good seeing.

Transition Region and the Coronal Explorer were responsible for these latest images.

Episode 7: Trials & Tribulations

A hell of a lot of stuff was covered in this week’s audio. Was kind of a ‘double’ episode this week as I unfortunately missed last week and pushed Episode 7 out a week later. By the way, I hope that won’t happen again, was just really busy with uni and stuff.

- Amazing Interactive Nightclub Tables
- Floating Meditating man…was funny as hell
- Audio Episode 7 on hold, trial of new blog look
- Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Edition Public Beta 2 discussed!
- Wndows Vista Shortcut Dilema

Hope you guys enjoy episode 7…I really hate hosting them on yahoo, maybe sometime soon if I get more serious about getting these out i’ll decide to make the switch!

Enjoy!
